Liquorice Root

Liquorice Root
The source

What is it?

Liquorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) is a plant from the pea family with a long, sweet root. The same root is used to make liquorice sweets, and it has a long history in traditional herbal care, such as Ayurveda. On the ingredient list you find it as Glycyrrhiza Glabra Root Extract.

In skincare liquorice root is valued for its calming effect and because it helps dull or uneven skin look brighter. That makes it a good partner for turmeric, which is also in our Miracle Oil.

In the Miracle Oil liquorice root is one of a group of herbal extracts, together with turmeric, rosehip and sea buckthorn, in a base of jojoba and St John's wort oil. Not sure which oil suits you? Read which face oil suits your skin.
