Choose Organic | Why We Need To Stop Normalising Pesticides

Organic means No toxic sprays. Ingredients without the use of pesticides.

Isn't it crazy how we've come to accept that our food is loaded with pesticides? Fruits and veggies—basically the foundation of healthy eating—are sprayed with chemicals we definitely don’t want in our bodies. Yet, toxin-free food is the exception, not the rule. We eat every day, feed this food to our kids, but rarely stop to think about what’s really on our plates.

Baby Food: Safer from a Jar than Fresh?

A recent episode of Keuringsdienst van Waarde revealed that store-bought baby food is more strictly monitored for pesticides than fresh produce from the supermarket. You’d think fresh is always better, right? But thanks to lax regulations, a homemade baby meal could actually contain more toxins than a jar from the store. How twisted is that? (KRO-NCRV)

Albert Heijn's Endive Scare

Think you're being healthy with a bag of pre-cut Endive? Not so fast! Albert Heijn had to recall their endive recently because it contained too many pesticides. And why does endive even need to be chopped and wrapped in plastic? Why does it stay crispy for days in a bag? Maybe because there’s more than just escarole in there...

Banned Chemicals Still on Our Plates

Some pesticides are officially banned, yet they’re still being used. How is that even possible? These toxins don’t just disappear from our soil and water—they linger for years, continuing to harm both people and the planet. This isn’t some far-off problem; this is what you’re eating every day.

Toxic Plants in Your Living Room

You buy a cute plant to make your home greener and healthier, but did you know many houseplants are full of pesticides? The Stop de Gifplant campaign shows that even plants meant to attract bees and butterflies can actually be deadly to them. So, without realizing it, you’re harming the very nature you’re trying to support. (Het Kan Wel)

Glyphosate: Weed Killer or Biodiversity Destroyer?

Glyphosate is one of the most widely used herbicides, but it’s wreaking havoc on the environment. It doesn’t just kill weeds—it wipes out beneficial insects and soil life too, leading to serious biodiversity loss. And guess what? It’s still being used everywhere! Organizations like PAN Netherlands are pushing for a ban and calling for more eco-friendly alternatives. (PAN Netherlands)

PFAS: The Invisible Threat

PFAS, also known as "forever chemicals," are everywhere: in our water, food packaging, and even in our blood. They barely break down and can cause serious health issues. Yet, they’re still being produced and used. How is this even allowed?!
