about our products
🕧We let our ingredients rest in large barrels for 90 days to make sure we capture all the effective properties.
🌿More than 130 different ingredients provide a wholesome vegetarian buffet for your skin.
🌱We use 2-4 times more ingredients than scientifically proven to show results and to make sure your skin gets what it needs.
Ingredients are given all the time needed to optimally extract the active properties, so that maximum quality and efficacy is achieved, in the highest concentrations.
Our production process is done by hand from start to finish, which takes more time than mechanical processing. As nature intended.
Slow Skincare because it takes time for our products to become fully Abloom.
It simply means skincare that contains only organic ingredients.
Yet to have a product certified as organic with some official bodies, skincare need not necessarily contain 100% organic ingredients.
The Soil Association requires a minimum 95% organic ingredients in order to be able to state a product is organic. Products can contain a minimum of just 70% organic ingredients to be able to carry the Soil Association logo.
With us, if our products state “Organic”, then they are 100% organic. If our products state Organic & Natural, they will also contain ingredients such as salts or clays, which cannot be called organic due to their naturally occurring state.
We never use synthetic ingredients or preservatives. So our advice is to always read the ingredient labels carefully.
Natural skincare should mean skincare products that are made purely from natural ingredients.
However, some ingredients can originate from a natural source yet are so highly processed that the end product is not so natural.
This isn’t always the case with ‘natural skincare’ products but again, our advice is to read the labels carefully.
At Abloom, using truly pure, organic and natural ingredients is what we’re all about. The natural ingredients we use are nature’s delights such as salts and clays. Whilst these are subjected to a degree of processing, it is relatively minimal.
Vegan skincare are products that are created without any use of ingredients from animals, animal-derived products or animal by-products. These by-products are the parts of the animal that are not directly consumed by humans. Beeswax, lanolin, collagen, carmine, cholesterol, and gelatin are some of the most commonly used animal by-products by the world’s leading beauty and cosmetic brands, and they are found in an extensive range of items produced by these brands.
Is there a difference between vegan and cruelty-free?
It’s also important to note that the terms ‘vegan’ and ‘cruelty-free’ are not synonyms, though the confusion is understandable. As stated above, ‘vegan’ refers to products without any animal-derived ingredients, but it does not specify on the production process. Technically, items tested on animals can claim to be vegan. By the same token, ‘cruelty-free’ means that the final product has not been tested on animals in the process, but can contain some of those pesky animal-derived or animal by-products mentioned above.
Yes, you can! All our products are made from 100% natural and organic ingredients and do not contain toxins, chemicals or harmful ingredients for you or your baby. Our Organic Miracle Oil will help to keep your skin soft, hydrated and supple. you don't want stretch marks so keep massaging your skin when your belly is growing!
Unlike most skin care products, our alcohol is edible (consumer grade). It is extracted from organic sugar cane. As a result, the alcohol we use contributes to the effectiveness of our products, it is functional as a cleaning and disinfecting ingredient, in addition to having a natural preservative effect.
All wild harvested ingredients are ethically picked. This is done manually instead of with machines to disturb the environment as little as possible.
The glycerin used in our Cleanser is a consumption-grade glycerin extracted from vegetables. This glycerin has very strong moisturising properties.
No, in our products you will not find anything that can have any adverse effects on the skin. The perfume that appears on our ingredients list is in fact not a perfume, but a term used for an oil that we use in our products. Due to regulations, the term perfume must be used, while it is not a real perfume.
We make our products sustainable by using, among other things, vitamins C and E, natural antioxidants. Various components of used fruits and extracts also contain natural preservative properties. In addition to their preserving effect for the products, these ingredients also have good properties for the skin. The packaging ice use are made with 'airless' bottles, so the product in the bottle is well protected against external influences.
Because our ingredients are produced naturally, there are differences per harvest. Influences such as seasons, temperatures, amounts of rain or periods of drought affect our products and, for example, their appearance. For example, a plant from one harvest will impart more color to an extract from a plant from another harvest. Small differences in color, smell and the like can therefore sometimes occur. Of course we ensure that these differences do not affect the quality of the product as you are used to!
Some of the ingredients we use contain a natural SPF, for example in the Shea Butter. However, this SPF is so low that we recommend using Abloom Luminous SPF 30+ Day Cream. This multipurpose cream contains an all natural SPF and is safe for the coral reefs as well.
Our bottles are equipped with an airless pump system. This means that the bottom (inside) rises a little bit with each pump, so that no air can get to the product, so that it stays good for longer. It may be that there is a little more air at the top at one time than at other times, so that you really have to pump more often before something comes out for the first time.
